The Regulatory Reform (fire Safety) order 2005 was introduced on 1st October 2006 making it mandatory for all employers to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment, for most non-domestic premises within England & Wales. Failure to do so could result in legal proceedings, effect insurance and result in small business closure.
